What do we do for your claim?
- We document the damage and work directly with your insurer on our estimate.
- We provide moisture readings, photos and a detailed estimate for your claim.
- We can meet your adjuster on site to walk through the technical details of our estimate.
- You are responsible for your deductible.
What is in our documentation?
Moisture readings. We measure the floors, walls and ceilings where the water reached, mark the readings on a simple map of the rooms, and record them again on each visit until the materials are dry. The readings show where the water went and when the drying is finished.
Photos. We photograph each room before anything moves, during the work and when it is done, including anything that has to be removed and why.
A detailed estimate. An itemized list of the work: water removal, what has to come out, cleaning, the drying equipment and how long it runs.
What should you do first?
- Stop the water if you can do it safely, and keep everyone away from wet electrical outlets and cords.
- Take your own photos and video of every affected room before things are moved.
- Call or text us any hour so drying can start. Wet materials do not wait, and drying started early keeps the damage smaller.
- Contact your insurance company or agent to report what happened.
- Keep receipts for anything you buy because of the damage, and keep damaged items until it is clear whether they are needed.
Who decides what my policy covers?
Your coverage depends on your policy. Your agent or your insurance company can tell you what your policy covers, including how it treats a sudden pipe burst, a slow leak, a roof leak or water that came in from outside. Flood coverage is often a separate policy.
Whatever the coverage turns out to be, starting the drying early helps. Every water, flood and fire job starts with a free inspection and an itemized estimate, so you know what the work is before it begins.
